Current Psychiatry's mission is to provide psychiatrists with peer-reviewed, practical advice by leading authorities, emphasizing up-to-date solutions to common clinical problems.
The University of Cincinnati is accredited with commendation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The mission of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program at the University of Cincinnati shall be to improve the quality of patient health by developing and implementing strategies to identify and narrow gaps between current and optimal clinical performance and patient outcomes. Additionally, as an integral part of an Academic Health Center, the Office of Continuing Medical Education will support the institutional mission of training health care professionals to enhance and improve the quality of life for people everywhere by discovering, teaching, and applying knowledge in the health sciences. Working closely with the UC Center for Continuous Professional Development, the CME office encourages multi-disciplinary education and quality improvement initiatives.
In addition to directly designing and providing continuing educational activities and initiatives, UC also works with a select group of external joint providers/partners who have proven that they maintain a high standard of expertise and experience in the production of quality continuing professional development for physicians and other health care providers.
