Target Audience
Dermatologists, pediatricians, primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals involved in treating diseases of the skin in adult females and pediatric patients.
Learning Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:
Women’s Session
- Evaluate and treat acne and rosacea in the adult female patient.
- Identify best practices for the treatment of vulvar dermatoses.
- Apply strategies to the management of aging skin.
- Formulate approaches to the challenges of hair and nail diseases.
- Describe the safety and efficacy of biologic agents in the treatment of psoriasis.
Pediatric Session
- Assess treatment approaches for the pediatric patient with common as well as complex skin diseases: acne, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, diaper dermatitis and more.
- Distinguish worrisome versus innocuous birthmarks.
- Manage the spectrum of atopic dermatitis, from mild to moderately severe.
- Implement current strategies for managing challenging pediatric dermatology issues such as atopic dermatitis and pediatric acne.
- Explain the challenges genetic disorders with major cutaneous manifestations that might be seen by the dermatologist or pediatrician known as genodermatoses
