We explore the latest advances in the treatment and management of common and complex diseases of the skin, both for adults and children as well as new developments in aesthetic medicine. LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Recognize and appropriately manage comorbid diseases and conditions in patients with psoriasis
  • Implement current strategies for managing challenging pediatric dermatology issues such as atopic dermatitis and pediatric acne
  • Identify and manage the signs and symptoms of dermatitis resulting from exposure to topical agents or systemic drugs/chemotherapeutic agents
  • Compare and contrast the efficacy and safety of agents, devices, and techniques currently available for aesthetic and procedural dermatology applications.
  • Implement communication strategies for the use of social media in improving your office-based practice of medicine
  • More effectively use injectable shaping agents (fillers and botulinum neurotoxins) for facial rejuvenation/restoration and body sculpting
  • Examine state-of-the-art laser, light, and other energy-based technology for cosmetic and other dermatologic uses
  • Discuss how existing and emerging treatments for advanced cutaneous malignancies including melanoma, CTCL, BCC and SCC can be used to improve patient outcomes
