Are SDEF meetings accredited by any organization?
SDEF Seminars are accredited through joint sponsorship with the University of Louisville Health Sciences Education.
Accreditation Statement:
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the University of Louisville School of Medicine Continuing Health Sciences Education and Skin Disease Education Foundation. The University of Louisville is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation for Activity
The University of Louisville School of Medicine Continuing Health Sciences Education designates this educational activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AAD Recognition Award Category 1 Credit is also provided.
The American Academy of Dermatology certifies that SDEF’s educational activities are recognized for AAD Category 1 credit and may be used toward the American Academy of Dermatology's Continuing Medical Education Award. We are not accredited through the nursing program.
Why should I attend a SDEF meeting?
SDEF meetings have the very latest information available in the field of dermatology. Our speakers are well experienced and diverse.
Can only dermatologists attend SDEF meetings?
No, all interested in the field of dermatology may attend. For nurses, astheticians and office personnel, the supervising physician must register and attend the seminar; you are required to list the supervising physician's name on your registration form. The workshops and live demonstrations are restricted to physicians only.
Will there be exhibitors there?
Yes, we have exhibitors at each of our meetings that can provide a plethora of information on products in the field of dermatology.
Can I bring a guest / family?
Yes, each of our meetings has the opportunity to network and socialize. We welcome registered guests at the continental breakfasts, coffee breaks and social functions. Please check each meeting for the guest fee(s).
